Was schon seit einiger Zeit als Gerücht in den Foren von beastieboys.com herumgeistert, ist nun offiziell bestätigt worden: Die Beastie Boys arbeiten an einem Nachfolger des 2004er To The 5 Boroughs, und wer die Beastie Boys kennt weiß dass drei Jahre zwischen Alben gar nichts sind. Pitchfork hat mit Adam Yauch gesprochen:

Yauch says the Beasties are “focusing on playing instruments [and] not really working with drum machines and samples” on the record, which they are in the process of mixing. The album is currently untitled, but they hope to release it this spring.
